The Hoy No Circula program states that on Wednesday, November 12, vehicles with red stickers and whose last digit of the license plate is 3 or 4 cannot circulate in Mexico City. For those cars with hologram 1, if the last number of the plate is odd, they rest on the first and third Saturday of each month. If the last number is even, the rest days will be the second and fourth Saturday of each month.
In Mexico City, this measure applies in all boroughs, including Álvaro Obregón, Azcapotzalco, Benito Juárez, among others. In the State of Mexico, the Hoy No Circula restriction will apply in municipalities such as Atizapán, Coacalco, Cuautitlán, among others. Foreign cars with foreign plates must also comply with the restriction and stop their circulation according to the plate's ending.
On the other hand, there are exceptions to this measure, such as emergency vehicles, those using sustainable technologies, school transport, among others. Drivers who fail to comply with the regulations will be fined. Caution should be taken to avoid being stopped for circulating on restricted days in Mexico City and some municipalities in the State of Mexico.
Additionally, in cases of environmental contingencies, different traffic restriction measures are established based on the vehicle holograms and plate endings. It is important to respect these provisions to contribute to air quality in the metropolitan area.
